| Welcome to the official web site
of the Connecticut Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (CRID)! CRID
was founded in 1971 and is one of the more than 50 local chapters
affiliated with the national Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
We hope this site will serve as a useful resource for members and for
individuals within the Deaf community.
The hyperlinks to the left connect to various related topics which may
be of interest to you. This site will also provide additional
information as a way to supplement our quarterly newsletter publication
for members,
"CONNTACT."
We invite members to communicate with CRID's
Board of Directors by using the contact information on this site. Also,
members may submit materials to be posted on this site and to be
published in the newsletter by contacting the webmaster.
If there is any other information that you feel
might be useful on this site, please e-mail the
CRID webmaster to let us
know. Find out more information about
becoming a certified ASL/English interpreter by clicking
here. The Northeastern University
National Interpreter Education Center invites you to participate in a
survey to determine the size and scope of the shortage of ASL/English
interpreters in the US and its territories. Click
here to respond to the survey.
