Membership in CRID
CRID’s membership year runs
from July 1st through June 30th. For your
convenience, we have 1-year and 2-year memberships available in various
categories.
If your membership expires
June 30, 2007, you will receive a renewal notice and membership
application in the mail shortly. Simply complete the application and
return it with your membership dues. For those memberships not expiring
this year (but with an expiration date of June 30, 2008), a letter will
be sent to you asking you to update or confirm information about you in
our database. Please return this letter to us either way.
New membership cards will be
sent out as soon as your application is processed.
Simply print the Membership
Application and submit the completed form along with your check payable
to CRID to the address noted above. If you have any questions, please
contact our Membership Area.

CRID Mission Statement
The Connecticut Registry of
Interpreters for the Deaf (CRID) was founded in 1971 and is one of more
than 60 local chapters affiliated with the national Registry of
Interpreters for the Deaf. When you become a member of CRID, you
support our goals to:

promote and maintain the
NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct for interpreters and
transliterators, |
 |
foster professional
support for interpreters, novice through experienced, in
attaining new information and knowledge in areas that concern
the interpreting profession, |
 |
provide the opportunity
for an exchange of ideas and information through workshops,
training activities, meetings and social events, |
 |
encourage interpreters,
professionals in related fields, and community members to be
involved in the advancement of the profession, |
 |
support organizations and
activities of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. |
